(Proverbs 20:5 NLT)<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Advice and counsel from others is essential in almost every sphere of life. \u00a0We need to seek it out and pursue others for help. \u00a0But have you ever received advice when you weren&#8217;t looking for\u00a0it? \u00a0Or\u00a0been the recipient of great advice given at the wrong time? \u00a0It can be really frustrating to have someone offer you their opinions and thoughts when that isn&#8217;t really what you are looking for.<\/p>\n<p>Proverbs 20:5\u00a0actually conveys a different approach. \u00a0Rather than a <i>person with understanding\u00a0<\/i>offering their advice and opinions, they\u00a0<em>draw it out<\/em> of the other person. \u00a0That is to say, they help the person discover the\u00a0<em>good advice<\/em> rather than deliver it to them. \u00a0It&#8217;s the difference between delivering and developing.<\/p>\n<p>Deliverers\u00a0come in, unload their goods, and leave with their\u00a0<em>own<\/em> mission accomplished.
